Standard Nightly Rate

$325 per night

Pelican's View Lodge typically rents for $325 per night for the entire property. That's the whole lodge — both bedrooms, the loft, all 2.5 bathrooms, the kitchen, both screened decks, and full access to the private boat launch and dock. No per-person fees, no extra charges for the boat ramp, no nickel-and-diming.

What's included at $325/night:

  • Entire 2-bedroom + loft waterfront lodge sleeping up to 10 guests

  • Private boat launch and 2 private boat slips

  • Fish cleaning station with running water

  • Outdoor freezer for your catch

  • Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig

  • Boiling pot and fish frying pot with burner (you bring the propane)

  • Charcoal BBQ grill

  • Upper and lower screened decks with porch swing

  • Fresh linens, pillows, blankets, and towels

  • Washer and dryer

  • Wireless internet and central air conditioning

  • Night fishing lights on the dock

  • Boat trailer parking on premises

  • Self check-in via keypad

Cleaning fee: $125 per stay (one-time, regardless of length of stay)

While $325/night covers most of the year, our rates flex up during peak demand windows when bookings come in fast and the calendar fills out months ahead. These include:

Holiday Weekends

​

Memorial Day weekend, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas/New Year's all see elevated rates. These are some of the most popular weekends on the Cocodrie calendar — book early if you want one of these slots.

Fishing Tournaments and Rodeos

​

Cocodrie hosts some of the biggest fishing tournaments and rodeos in South Louisiana. Demand spikes around:

  • STAR Tournament (May–September CCA Louisiana state-wide saltwater tournament)

  • Faux Pas Rodeo (Memorial Day weekend, Cocodrie)

  • Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo (late July)

  • Cocodrie Inshore Rodeo events

  • Speckled Trout and Redfish derbies throughout the spring and fall

Speckled Trout and Redfish Peak Seasons

Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the prime windows for inshore speckled trout and redfish. These months book up fastest. Standard $325 rate generally applies, but specific weekends within these windows can run higher.

Last-Minute Availability — Best Rates

If you're flexible on dates, we can almost always work with you on price for last-minute openings.

Direct bookings skip the platform service fees, which means you save money and we can offer flexibility on dates and rates that the booking platforms don't allow. We accept cash, check, and Venmo for direct bookings. We're real people in South Louisiana — Ryan and Chrisy Myhand — and we answer our phones. If you want to ask questions before booking, want recommendations on charter captains, or want to see if we can put together a custom multi-night package, just call.

What You Won't Pay For

Some things we want to be clear about because guests sometimes ask:

  • No fee to use the boat launch. It's included in the nightly rate.

  • No fee for the boat slips (we have 2).

  • No per-person charge. $325 covers 1 guest or 10 guests.

  • No fee for the fish cleaning station, outdoor freezer, or fish frying setup.

  • No required minimum stay for most dates (some peak weekends require 2-night minimums).

  • No deposit forfeit if you cancel within our policy window — see VRBO or contact us directly for cancellation terms.

What We Don't Offer

Being upfront so there are no surprises:

  • No hot tub. (Some old listings still show this — it's not on the property.)

  • No smoking allowed indoors

  • No propane provided for the boiling pot or fish fryer — bring your own tank or pick one up at Coco Marina.

  • No bait or tackle provided. Plenty of bait shops nearby.

  • No housekeeping during your stay. The $125 cleaning fee covers post-stay deep clean.
